No, I haven't abandoned this site.
Things have fallen into a pattern with me (barring the occasional diversion like my Texas trip).
Wake up at 5am (or 5:07 or whenever I stop hitting "snooze").
Walk Fred and get ready for work.
Work (which, for the most part, I like. Spooky, eh?). Try to avoid ogling Ultra-Hottie (no, Cliff- I will not take pics of her for you).
Go home, walk Fred, chores, exercise, read a book or watch a movie.
Sleep.
Repeat.
Maybe a film during the week or some shopping.
Denio's and/or antiquing (HEY! I enjoy that) on the weekend, the bar, and hanging out.
See? Very pattern-ish.
So much so that I haven't had anything blog-worthy for a bit. No bizarre happenings, no injuries, no amusing wildlife stories.
Sure- there's always something out of the ordinary. For example, take the fact that so far this month I've purchased:
an 80-year-old cedar chest,
a 50-year-old handmade sports jackets that looks like something Spike Jones would have thrown out,
a retro set of poker chips (BAKELITE!!),
8 shot glasses,
an antique icehook,
an antique block and tackle,
a trolling fishing pole,
a meat cleaver,
a 100-year-old+ accordion,
a set of marble bookends of the shape of an owl's head (now broken. Dammit.),
a stained glass window,
a glass turtle bowl,
a copy of "The Tawny Scrawny Lion",
9 comic books,
a wig and a leopard print dress (for Halloween. The dress doesn't fit. Curse my brawny shoulders!),
a retro mirrored wall shelf,
a Budweiser beer tap handle,
& an X-Mas gift (technically, several of the above are X-Mas gifts).
WHEW! Let's face it- that's a lot of shit in 5 days!
I'm in a holding pattern in my life.
Literally.
The next step is coming up in months but I can't start early. There's a tentative position with a company in Fresno and I can't start anything without first finding out about that and that won't occur for another 6-8 weeks.
I need to be ready to make the correct decisions. Ones that will determine where I call "home".
